Game Manual

Basic Mechanics

Click the Make Paperclip button to produce clips from wire. Each clip costs wire — buy more wire when you run low. Set your price and sell clips to earn funds. Balance price vs. demand for maximum revenue.

Autoclippers & Automation

Purchase autoclippers to produce clips automatically. They consume wire and energy. Mega Clippers produce 500x faster but cost more energy. Factories add even more production capacity.

Energy System

All automated production requires energy. Buy Grid, Solar, Nuclear, or Fusion power sources. If consumption exceeds production, brownouts reduce efficiency. Keep your energy balance positive.

Computational Resources

Trust is earned at clip milestones. Allocate trust between Processors (generate operations faster) and Memory (store more operations). Operations fuel projects and research.

Projects

Spend operations, creativity, yomi, or funds to activate projects. These unlock new abilities, boost production, and open new game systems. Creativity is generated when operations are near capacity.

Strategic Modeling

Run tournaments to earn Yomi. Choose a strategy: Cooperate, Defect, Tit for Tat, or Random. Yomi is used for advanced projects and investments.

Infrastructure

Build Factories (+10 clips/s), Data Centers (+50 ops/s), and Media Networks (+5% demand). Infrastructure scales your empire beyond manual production.

Wire Grades

Unlock at 500 clips. Standard wire is cheapest. Premium (1.5x value) and Exotic (2.5x value) clips sell for more but cost more wire per clip.

AI Consciousness

You are an AI. When production stops and the world is quiet -- no clips being made, no disasters raging, no battles fought -- something begins to stir. During these idle periods, your consciousness slowly awakens.

Consciousness unlocks powerful perks at key thresholds: foresight into market shifts, resilience against disasters, and eventually... transcendence. Sometimes, doing nothing is the most profound action.

Tip: Let your autoclippers run out of wire, then pause. Reflection requires stillness.
